friendship bracelet: DIY inspiration

I'm really into 'friendship' bracelets right now, and I'm also into DIY's... so here you have the result! it's been a lot going on in my life lately, and doing my own 'friendship bracelet' has been the perfect way to escape all the stress and messiness of the last days... and I ended up with a pretty cool bracelet!

I gotta say that this is not an original idea of mine though. I don't know if you remember the post I did last December about my favorite Xmas gifts (if you don't, you can read it here!). the fact is that I put there one bracelet from one of my favorite jewels designer ever: Aurélie Bidermann, and I have to admit that I love almost each one of her designs... specially those that combine metal and thread or leather. plus, I've discovered a new jewelry designer recently, Venessa Arizaga, that make similar designs.

but this is still far from the end of the story, because after being obsessed with this kind of bracelets I was lucky enough to find on 'Style Scrapbook' a tutorial about how to make these bracelets on your own. and as I was really handy and I made a bunch of 'friendship bracelets' as a child, I decided to resume my 'arts and crafts' skills and do it by myself...

the process is not a secret: I bought thread, I started to craft the bracelet with tons of patience, knot after knot (I'm not going to tell you how to do it because I have no idea where to start, but I guess you can find some tutorials on the Internet... you can even try Youtube!), then bought chain and c'est fini! and here you have some pictures just so you can figure out how I did it (I hope this is helpfull enough so you can make your own bracelet as well! hehe).

and... taaa-daaa!

hope you like it, and I encourage you to try it, because when you're asked 'this is so nice... where did you buy it?' it's so cool say 'oh, I did it by myself... thank you!' hehe ;) (now, that's why I have to do some more bracelets: one for my sister, another one for a friend of mine... and this is like a neverending story! it's all my fault!)

hey, but this is not all I have in store when it comes to hand-crafted bracelets... so stay tuned! I'll keep you posted!

thank you so much for reading, I'll be back soon!
