Mx for La Marató

do you remember last week when I told you that I was taking part of a charity event? don't you? never mind, now you can know (almost!) everything about that day because I finally recovered the pictures I took there. but let's start from the very beginning!

every year, the main catalan TV station organizes a macro charity event and hosts a TV program that is called La Marató (the Marathon) and lasts more than 15 hours (so I guess the program was named after those-more-than-15-hours-program!!). the goal is to raise funds for biomedical research. each year the program focuses in different diseases or health problems and all the money they get go entirely to the research (this year it was all about regeneration and transplantation of organs and tissues).

so, this year the local Moto Club decided to take part of this macro-charity-event (and I say macro because all over Catalonia people organizes activities to raise money, and because people all over the world can contribute with some bucks). my boyfriend is a member of this Moto Club and I was really excited when I knew they wanted to contribute so I decided to help as much as I could, and that's why I was that busy that I couldn't make any blog entry till the next week...

the day finally arrived (the event was celebrated on December 18) and the Moto Club raised over 1.800 € by allocating all the money that the riders paid for training at the Mx track. I gotta say that we were able to make some lunch for the people who came since some local traders also contributed by giving us some food for free! and I have to admit that -at the end- everything went better than expected (so we all hope to be able to do this every year from now on!). we also had some famous riders who compete in Motogp World Championship like Maverick Viñales (but I don't expect you know them!).

you can check out the website of La Marató here (don't worry, besides the catalan and spanish version, there's also the english one so you can understand everything and maybe donate some money if you can and want!). you'll see that they have raised over 7.500.000 €, talk about a huge success!!!

that said, I just want to remind you that New Year is just around the corner and I don't know if I will be able to make a new post, so -just in case- I hope you all have a great New Years Eve celebration, Happy New Year to everyone!!! and remember... always be happy! big hugs!

ps: thank you so much for all your kind comments, I just wish I had time to answer all of them!!
